166 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Education if he has received representations (details supplied) from the parents association of Jobstown community college, Jobstown, Tallaght, Dublin 24 regarding the urgent need for additional pupil space in the college; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have received representations from the parents association of Jobstown community college regarding the need for additional pupil space in the college. This college operates under the aegis of County Dublin vocational education committee.

The position is that an application from County Dublin vocational education committee for additional accommodation at the school is currently under examination in my Department.

Jobstown community college operates under the aegis of County Dublin vocational education committee who have recently submitted an application for additional accommodation at the school. The parents association of the college have also made representations in the matter.

My Department are currently examining the need for additional accommodation and will be in touch with the interested parties as soon as possible.
