Vol. 417 No. 1

Written Answers. - Knockadea (Limerick) School.

Gerard Collins

Ceist:

188 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Education if he will make a statement regarding the efforts being made by his Department to provide an extra teacher and extra classroom facilities at Knockadea national school, County Limerick.

Knockadea national school had a valid enrolment of 103 pupils on 30 September 1990 which warranted a staff of a principal and three assistants for the 1991-92 school year. The appointment of the third assistant was sanctioned in July 1991 subject to suitable accommodation for the additional teacher and class. The question of accommodation for the additional teacher is currently being examined and a decision on the matter will be conveyed to the school authorities.
