Vol. 417 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding for County Westmeath.

Dick Spring

Ceist:

253 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of all national lottery funding allocated to County Westmeath since the national lottery began operating.

The position in relation to grants under the amenities/recreational facilities grant scheme is set out in the replies to Questions Nos. 420-422, etc. of 16 October 1991, and Questions Nos. 3 and 28 and Questions Nos. 17 and 49 of 23 October 1991.

Under the grant in aid for the local authority library service, also funded from national lottery surplus, a sum of £60,000 was paid to Westmeath County Council in 1991 in respect of bookstock for Mullingar branch library.

Projects, etc. in County Westmeath would, of course, have benefited under other schemes financed from national lottery surplus and administered by other Departments and agencies.
