121 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the proposed decentralisation for Portlaoise, County Laois; when it is expected that the programme will take effect, and if he will make a statement on the matter.
A State-owned site which is considered suitable for the decentralised offices has been identified. When the question of providing elsewhere for the State services currently accommodated on the site has been satisfactorily resolved and the requisite accommodation brief has been received, from the Department of Agriculture, tenders will be invited for the new offices.
