80 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will be establishing formal structures for dialogue between producers and consumers to improve consumer representation as part of the Third Action Programme of the EC; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I have no immediate plans to establish the type of formal structures to which the Deputy refers. I do, however, fully support the Commission's objective as set out in its Three Year Action Plan of developing successful consumer/producer dialogue and I will continue to take steps to ensure that Commission funding to improve consumer representation continues to be made available.
