Ceist:

222 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education the amount of money spent on prefabricated buildings for secondary schools in Cork city for each of the years between 1988 and 1992.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 221 and 222 together.

The grant-aid provided to secondary schools in Cork city and county for prefabricated classrooms in the years in question was as follows:— 1992, Nil; 1991, Nil; 1990, £26,685; 1989, £13,679; 1988, £66,203.

The detailed information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in respect of national schools and its compilation would necessitate an inordinate amount of official time which would not be warranted.
