257 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Health if there will be an allocation of funds made available to a community home (details supplied) in County Meath as this cannot be opened without 2.8 additional staff; if he will honour the commitment to fund additional staff given by his predecessor, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An allocation of £140,000 has been made available for the development of additional mental handicap services in the North Eastern Health Board area. The projects to be funded are, in the first instance, to be considered and agreed by the regional mental handicap co-ordinating committee and the proposals are awaited.
