Ceist:196 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education if he will approve incremental credit in respect of teaching service for a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An application for incremental credit, submitted by the person referred to by the Deputy, has been fully considered by my Department.
I regret that under the appropriate regulations incremental credit cannot be granted by my Department for the period of service which, is the subject of that application.
