280 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a reactor grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

I have been informed by the director of ERAD that the reactor grant due to the person named has been paid.

281 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a special EC beef premium will be paid in respect of 40 animals to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

The person named applied for 1991 special beef premium scheme grants on 52 animals, one of which had already received premium under the 1990 scheme and another which was an ineligible female.

Under EC regulations he will shortly be paid at 80 per cent of the normal rate on his eligible animals provided that his application passes a computer validation check.

This applicant has already been paid his grant under the 1991 suckler cow premium scheme.

The 1991 sheep headage grant will be paid to the person named in the near future.

This person's applications for grants under the 1991 beef cow and equines headage, suckler cow and special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and payment less a deduction for £153.86 owed to the Land Commission will be made shortly.

285 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline, (a) when a headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork, (b) the proportion of a grant due, (c) when it was passed for payment and (d) the reason for the long delay with same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This person's application for grants under the 1989, 1990 and 1991 cattle and equines headage schemes will be considered further when he submits documentary evidence that he owns the lands on which the animals the subject of his applications are maintained.

286 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick who has been disqualified due to a simple accidental error in completing the application form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This person listed on his application for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme two animals on which he had received premium already. Under EC regulations governing the scheme my Department have no choice but to rule him out of the 1991 special beef premium scheme and to debar him from the scheme for 12 months from 21 October 1991.

The 1991 sheep headage grant was paid to the person named on 2 December 1991.

291 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a grant under the scheme of investment aid for the control of farmyard pollution in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The grant has now been paid. There was no undue delay in the case.

293 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the final payment of the 1991 ewe premium will be paid to farmers throughout the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The final instalment of the 1991 ewe premium, which has been fixed at £9.05, will be paid as soon as possible after the relevant EC Regulation is published. This is expected to be in about three weeks time.

His application for grants under the 1991 cattle headage scheme and the 1991 suckler cow premium scheme for small scale milk producers are being processed at present and payments will issue shortly.

Investigations are still in progress to establish the eligibility of the person named for grants under the 1991 EC suckler cow premium scheme and if he qualifies for premium payment will be made as soon as possible.
