Ceist:95 Mr. Stafford asked the Minister for the Environment if he will extend the number of houses available under the shared ownership scheme, as there is a very high demand for them.

I am aware that there is high demand for this scheme in some areas. In these cases, the numbers of transactions which authorities have been authorised to complete have been increased. It is open to other authorities which require an increase to contact my Department, and they have been notified accordingly.
