Ceist:257 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the capital allocation for new local authority housing to each local authority per head of population in 1992.
Vol. 418 No. 7
257 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the capital allocation for new local authority housing to each local authority per head of population in 1992.
The reply to Questions Nos. 127 and 128 of 5 March, 1992 gives the capital allocation to each local authority for the 1992 local authority housing construction programme. The allocations were determined on the basis of the relative housing needs of the authorities, their ongoing programmes and the total capital available for the housing construction programme nationally.
258 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the capital allocation for house purchase and improvement loans to each local authority for 1992 per head of population in the area covered by the authority.
The reply to Question No. 242 of 31 March, 1992 gives the capital allocation to each local authority for house purchase and improvement loans, etc. However, the allocation per head of population has not been calculated as it is not considered that such would serve any useful purpose.
