Ceist:93 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for the Environment when work will commence on the phase three section of the Dundalk inner-relief road, County Louth, and when it will be completed.
Written Answers. - Dundalk (Louth) Relief Road.
A Bridge Order providing for the construction of a new bridge over the Castletown River and a Compulsory Purchase Order in respect of lands necessary for the construction of Phases 3 and 4 of the Dundalk Inner Relief Road were confirmed on 7 February 1992. Subsequently, I allocated a grant of £1 million for stages 3 and 4 of the Inner Relief Road to Dundalk Urban District Council. The local authority hope to have preliminary work on the project underway later this year and to have construction completed over the period to late 1994.
