Ceist:48 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education if he will now sanction the commencement of work on the extension to the boys' national school, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim.

The preparation of tender documents for the proposed extension to St. Mary's National School, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim is in hands and these will be completed at the earliest possible date. The question of the invitation of tenders for the project will then arise for consideration in the context of the available capital and ongoing commitments.
I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works will commence.
