110 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange to have building commence on a school (details supplied) in Cork immediately; and if, as it closes on 19 June, he will ensure its completion before it reopens in September.
The tenders for the proposed extension to the school in County Cork referred to by the Deputy were received in my Department on 15th May, 1992 and are currently being examined.
When this examination has been completed, the question of the placing of a contract will arise for consideration in the context of the availability of capital resources.
I am not in a position at this stage to say when construction work will commence or be completed.
