101 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education when a grant in respect of the recent addition of a general purpose room at a school (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid; and when sanction for the full extension to the school will issue.
The tender documents for the proposed extension to the national school in County Cork, referred to by the Deputy, are being prepared by my Department's architectural staff. When these documents are completed, the question of the invitation of tenders will be considered in the context of the availability of capital resources and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities.
A grant in respect of the provision of a classroom cum general purposes room will be paid as early as possible. This grant payment was subject to a certificate of satisfactory completion which has only recently been received in my Department.
