Ceist:83 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Defence when the conciliation and arbitration scheme for NCO ranks in the Army will come into effect; and if he will outline the present position with regard to negotiations on this matter.

Discussions are continuing with both the Representative Association of Commissioned Officers and the Permanent Defence Force Other Ranks Representative Association with a view to establishing a Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme for the Permanent Defence Force and considerable progress has been made towards this objective.
