Ceist:82 Mr. V. Brady asked the Minister for Defence if he will give details of the number of parliamentary questions tabled to him for the year 1991 and the total cost involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A total of 500 parliamentary questions was addressed to my Department during 1991. The average cost of answering a parliamentary question was estimated by the Department of Finance earlier this year to be about £64 and on that basis the total cost involved was approximately £32,000.
