Ceist:104 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for the Environment if any grant assistance is available from his Department to industries who wish to recycle waste; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Limited grant assistance is available from my Department for the promotion of relatively small scale projects based on collection of recyclable waste by voluntary bodies, local authorities or other interests. The grants scheme does not extend to reprocessing or other industrial operations.
