Ceist:

155 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if, arising from his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 45 on Thursday 13 February 1992 he will outline the reason the IVMB failed to trace the owner of a vehicle (details supplied); and if the registration number was available from the Gardaí involved.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that on request they confirmed to the IVMB the registration number of the vehicle in question.

As Minister for Justice, I have no responsibility for the IVMB but, as regards this particular case, I understand that the claim has been settled by the Bureau.
