216 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the wages, expenses and office allowances of agricultural officers who are headquartered at home, given the fact that they are on a parity with agricultural officers employed by his Department; and when office allowances came into force.
The salary scale and the travel and subsistence rates for Agriculture Officers who are headquartered at official offices or at home are set out in the following tabular statement.
Office accommodation allowances are paid to those officers who are headquartered at home in cases where it has been established that they are required to provide office facilities in their homes. The current rates of allowances are (i) £9.30 and (ii) £13.85 per week depending on the type of facilities provided. Office allowances have been payable to offices in my Department since 1964.
