Ceist:28 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for the Environment if his approval has been sought for the construction of a sewage treatment plant at Riverstown, Tramore, County Waterford, with the outfall pipe located in the Rinnashark Channel on Saleen Beach; if his attention has been drawn to the serious concern in the area at the possible environmental damage which may be caused because the proposed outfall pipe does not extend far enough into the bay; if he will direct his Department's engineers or consultants to carry out an independent examination of the proposals before making a decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
