Ceist:

320 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of prosecutions and cases pending in relation to angel dust offences; if he can confirm recent reports that 60 alleged cases of abuse were sent to the UK for analysis and all but one were not proceeded with; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There have been nine prosecutions and a further 52 cases are pending in relation to clenbuterol offences.

My Department has not sent any samples to the UK for analysis. All official analysis is carried out in laboratories located within the State.
