Vol. 425 No. 8

Written Answers. - Travellers' Accommodation.

Gerard Collins

Ceist:

78 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in giving approval to Limerick County Council for the redevelopment of the old site at Fairhill, Rathkeale, County Limerick, for the purpose of providing four houses and three bays for travelling families.

There has been no undue delay in dealing with this proposal. My Department has discussed the matter locally with the council's technical officers and advised on the site investigations to be carried out in view of the nature of the site. A detailed cost plan for the proposal to enable it to be processed further was requested from the council on 8 January 1993 and its receipt is awaited.
