155 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the appointment of a district superintendent in the South Tipperary Farm Development Office will be made, in view of the consequent and unfair delays in the approval of farm development grant applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
It is proposed to appoint a district superintendent in the farm development services in the Clonmel office in the next three weeks. All cases already approved have been cleared with the assistance of district superintendents from neighbouring counties. The cases awaiting approval should be cleared within two or three weeks of the new appointment being made.
