Vol. 426 No. 1
I move:
That Deputy De Rossa be suspended from the service of the Dáil.
A Chean Comhairle, it is disgraceful that a Deputy of this House, elected by the people, having telephoned the Department of Social Welfare and asked for copies of Circulars 14/92 and 18/92 should be told he is not entitled to them. Why should Deputies be refused that information?
I have put the question "that Deputy De Rossa be suspended from the service of the Dáil". The Deputy will now leave the House.
I am not leaving the House, a Cheann Comhairle. It is disgraceful.
The question: "that the Deputy De Rossa be suspended from the service of the Dáil" has been passed and I must ask him to leave the House.
It cannot be passed unless put to a vote.
There was no vote called for, Deputy.
I call for a vote.
The Deputy will now leave the House.
On a point of order——
Sorry, Deputy.
Does the Minister for Social Welfare support the withdrawal of the "dirty dozen"?
Deputy De Rossa withdrew from the Chamber.
