Ceist:118 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education the position regarding the new second level school for Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim.

My Department placed advertisements in the national daily newspapers on 11 November, 1992, inviting applications from main contractors and sub-contractors who wish to be included on the tender list for the construction of a new Community School at Carrick-on-Shannon.
An examination of the applications for the main contract work has been completed by the design team and their report and recommendations have been received by my Department within the last week.
The report and recommendations in relation to the sub-contractors is still awaited.
