Written Answers. - County Sligo Group Water Scheme.

Ceist:

180 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment the estimated cost of Phase 1 of the Castleconnor group water scheme, County Sligo; Phase 2 of the Castleconnor group water scheme; and Phase 3 of the Castleconnor group water scheme; if the decision to develop the Castleconnor group water scheme in three separate phases will cost more than developing the entire scheme as one unit; and if so, the extra cost involved.

The cost of phase I is estimated at £640,000. There are no accurate figures available yet for Phases 2 and 3. However, a preliminary estimate shows their combined cost at around £750,000. The decision to develop the scheme on a phased basis should not add to overall costs.
