335 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Education if she will supply Deputy Sargent with a list of EC Directives, relevant to her Department, which have been signed by the Council but not yet due for transposition into Irish law; and when they are expected to be transposed.
Council Directive 92/51/EEC on a second general system for the recognition of professional education and training was signed by the Council on 18 June 1992. It supplements Council Directive 89/48/EEC which was transposed into Irish law by means of Statutory Instrument 1/91. Directive 92/51/EEC is due to be transposed into Irish law by 18 June 1994. It is expected to be transposed before the end of May 1994.
336 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Education if she will supply Deputy Sargent with a list of EC recommendations and regulations relevant to her Department issued during 1991; and the action, if any, taken on them.
No recommendations or regulations relevant to the Department of Education were issued by the EC during 1991.

There are no EC Directives relevant to the Department of Education which are overdue for transposition into Irish law.
