Ceist:340 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if she will provide school transport for persons (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The family in question have been advised that the service of which they previously availed cannot be re-established because of insufficient numbers.
As is normal in such cases, the alternative of grant-aid towards the cost of private transport has been offered to those affected. In the case of the family in question, my Department has offered the maximum grant allowable under the School Transport Scheme.
