37 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in arriving at a decision to reject or approve the environmental impact statement submitted by Galway Corporation in connection with the proposed sewage treatment works on Mutton Island for Galway city; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Given the scale and complexity of this proposal, there has not been an undue delay in the consideration of the environmental impact statement. I expect to be in a position to determine the matter shortly.
