177 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proportion of the next tranche of EC Structural Funds which will be absorbed by the agricultural and food sector; if the Government has made any decisions in this regard; and if not, when decisions are likely to be made.
No decision has yet been made as regards the apportionment of the next round of Structural Funds. The position is that the various proposals for Structural Funds' assistance are still being considered in the context of finalising Ireland's national development plan which will be submitted by the Government to the EC Commission within the next two to three months.
