66 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Finance his views on the recommendations of the Department of the Environment that the Ballymun shopping centre be given designated area status, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The question of extending designated area status to the Ballymun Shopping Centre is currently at an advanced stage of consideration in my Department and I hope to be able to make a decision on the matter shortly.
