Ceist:24 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will establish an institute of Irish culture to promote Irish art overseas, especially within Europe.

I am satisfied that the arrangements in place at present in my Department and in the Department of Foreign Affairs, which has primary responsibility for the promotion of Ireland's culture overseas, operate efficiently within the limited resources available. However, there is room for improvement and I will bear any suggestions the Deputy has in mind when I am considering new arrangements in consultation with the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs.
