189 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of persons employed in his constituency office, his private office and those of his Minister of State; the rank of each person; and the salary paid.

In my Department staff are not formally divided between constituency and other duties. The situation varies from day to day in each office and staff carry out appropriate duties as the need arises. The following are the staff levels:

190 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the number of persons employed in his constituency office, his private office and those of his Minister of State; the rank of each person; and the salary paid.

Minister for Tourism and Trade (Mr. McCreevy)

There are five staff employed in my constituency office and four staff employed in my private office. Their rank and salary scales are as follows:

Personal Secretary	Maximum of Oireachtas Secretarial Assistants salary scale plus allowance (currently £15.38 per week).
Staff Officer	Staff Officer grade salary scale.
Clerical Officer	Clerical Officer salary scale.
Clerical Assistant Typist	Clerical Assistant grade salary scale.
Private Office
Private Secretary	Higher Executive Officer grade salary plus Private Secretary's allowances.
Executive Officer	Executive Officer grade salary scale.
Staff Officer	Staff Officer grade salary scale.
Clerical Assistant Typist	Clerical Assistant salary scale.

There is no Minister of State at my Department.
