204 Mr. Shatter and Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if he will give details of the Programme for Family Law Reform he plans in advance of the 1994 divorce referendum; and the proposed date of introduction of these measures.

A substantial programme for family law reform is contained in the White Paper on Marital Breakdown. The Government is committed to ensuring that the essential legislative framework in this area is in place before the referendum on divorce which is to be held next year.
