Ceist:424 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health the funding, if any, he has made available for 1993 for the sexual assault unit in the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin 1; and the rate which is paid to the professionals running this Department.
Written Answers. - Sexual Assault Treatment Unit Funding.
The Sexual Assault Treatment Unit is funded from within the annual revenue allocation which is given by my Department to the Rotunda Hospital. I understand that doctors staffing the unit are paid a call-in fee of £25 for the first visit and £10 per subsequent visit, the on-call allowances of £4.17 for the period 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., £3.33 between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., £17.50 between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m., and £30 per day for Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
