Vol. 428 No. 5

Written Answers. - Culliton Report Recommendations.

Pat Upton

Ceist:

110 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will list the recommendations of the Culliton report which have been implemented to date.

The Task Force established by the Government on the implementation of the Culliton report, which was chaired by Paddy Moriarty of the ESB, reported to me on 13 January last.

The Government responded on 27 January with a decision to have the issues pursued speedily in a Cabinet sub-Committee. Since then I have worked in the Cabinet sub-Committee with the other Ministers who will have to implement changes recommended by the Culliton report. That work is almost complete and it is my intention to publish both the recommendations of the Moriarty Task Force and the decisions of the Government on their implementation. Actions that have yet to be taken will be mandated by the Government for completion within a specific timetable.
