111 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will make a statement on the current situation at a company (details supplied) and particularly on the possibility of a substantial loss of jobs there.
The implementation of industrial policy in relation to individual companies is a day-to-day matter for the State agency concerned and is not one where I have a direct function.
However, I understand from the IDA that they are closely monitoring the situation and that everything possible is being done to maintain the maximum number of jobs in the company concerned.
