Ceist:97 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of livestock grants to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
The person named was paid an advance of his 1992 Cattle Headage grant in mid November 1992, with the balance being paid in mid December 1992 and late January 1993.
He was paid 1992 Special Beef Premium Scheme grants in mid November 1992, 1992 Sheep Headage in mid October 1992 and the three instalments of 1992 Ewe Premium at the end of July 1992, mid-November 1992 and mid-March 1993.
His application for grants under the 1992 Suckler Cow Premium Scheme is being processed at present and if found in order payment will be made shortly.
The main reason for delay in this case was due to the person named not having completed his application form fully.
