142 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that, due to a lack of State funding, the Irish Sailing Development team initiative has not prospered; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

An application to my Department from the Irish Sailing Association for funding for its Olympic Development plan is at present being considered in the context of the 1993 allocations of grants to sporting organisations.
