Standing Order 34: Motion.

I move:

That, with effect from 27th April, 1993 until further notice in the 27th Dáil, the following be adopted in substitution for Standing Order 34 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business:—

34. (1) Unless the Dáil shall otherwise order on motion made by a member of the Government, Questions shall be taken from 2.30 p.m. to 4.20 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 2.30 p.m. to 3.50 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

(2) The time allowed for Questions, other than Questions nominated for priority [S.O. 37], shall not exceed one-and-a-half hours on Tuesdays and one hour on Wednesdays and Thursdays; and the time allowed for Questions nominated for priority for any one day shall not exceed twenty minutes.
