Ceist:278 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will provide a grant towards a band (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The main course of public funds for the arts is An Comhairle Ealaíon. If this band wishes to be considered for funding they should contact An Chomhairle Ealaíon directly at 70 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, setting out in detail the particular projects towards which they are seeking finance. It should be noted that An Comhairle Ealaíon is an autonomous body with statutory independence in the disbursal of its funds.
