Ceist:319 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if she will accede to a request to make a higher education grant available to a person (details supplied) in County Cork through the auspices of Cork County Council.

Cork County Council is the body statutorily entrusted with the administration of the Higher Education Grants Scheme in this case.
I understand that the person in question was deemed ineligible for the award of a student grant on the basis that he failed to satisfy the academic attainments requirements of the scheme.
