254 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Health when he intends to make facilities for dental treatment available at Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Waterford Dental Treatment Facilities.
The provision of orthodontic facilities at Ardkeen Hospital is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board in the first instance.
The South Eastern Health Board was successful in recruiting a Consultant Orthodontist in September 1992. She is currently providing a regional service.
I understand, from the board, that the orthodontic suite in Ardkeen Hospital is being equipped etc. at present and when completed the Consultant Orthodontist will be based at Ardkeen Hospital.
