Ceist:

5 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Taoiseach the number of persons within his Department who are currently operating on a work-sharing basis; and if he intends to encourage a higher percentage of his staff to become involved in work-sharing projects.

The answer in relation to my Department is nil. With regard to the Central Statistics Office, there are 13 staff employed there on a job-sharing basis.

Each request for job-sharing is dealt with sympathetically and officers are facilitated in every way possible.
