Ceist:94 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education if her Department will promote an enterprise subject in the Irish education system; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Introduction of Enterprise Subject.
The Green Paper on Education contains a proposal for an enterprise dimension to be introduced into business studies programmes and also for a proposed new subject, Enterprise and Technology Studies.
This proposal will be further considered in the light of the views expressed by the various interested parties and in consultation with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment and I will outline my position in this manner later this year in the White Paper on Education.
