Ceist:

70 Mr. Gregory asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make representations to the British authorities regarding the remand prisoner (details supplied) held wholly on the basis of alleged involved statements and about whom there is medical evidence of ill treatment while under interrogation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have brought the details supplied by the Deputy to the attention of the British authorities and have sought their reaction. I will communicate further with the Deputy on the matter in due course.
