Ceist:76 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Finance if consideration will be given to the appointment of an information officer for the Houses of the Oireachtas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Consideration has been given to such an appointment and it has been decided to proceed with it. My understanding is that the appointment will be made shortly.
