31 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice the number of persons within her Department who are currently operating on a work-sharing basis; and if she intends to encourage a higher percentage of her staff to become involved in work-sharing projects.

A total of 144 staff in my Department are participating in the Civil Service job-sharing scheme at present. This figure represents an increase of 24 over the past year or so and applicants for job-sharing will continue to be facilitated wherever possible.
