Written Answers. - Semi-State Annual Reports.

Ceist:

183 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Marine if, in respect of each semi-State or other body submitting an annual report to his Department, he will give details of the dates on which the 1991 and 1992 annual reports were received by him and laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas.

The following bodies are required to submit their annual reports to the Minister for the Marine and be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas:

Bord Iascaigh Mhara

Arramara Teoranta

Central Fisheries Board

Regional Fisheries Boards

Foyle Fisheries Commission

Marine Institute

Salmon Research Agency of Ireland Incorporated*

*The annual report is not laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas.

The annual report and accounts of Arramara Teoranta for the year ended 31 December 1991 were presented to the Minister for the Marine in July 1992 and will shortly be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas. I have not received the 1992 annual report for Arramara Teoranta to date.

The annual report for the Salmon Research Agency for 1991 was submitted to the Minister in June 1992. I have not received the 1992 annual report to date.

The Marine Institute was established in October 1992. The first full year of operation will be 1993.

I have not received the annual reports for the other bodies in respect of the years 1991 and 1992 to date.
